Studio Resource:
Studio Reservations and Policies

Efficient scheduling and clear communication ensure that every faculty member has fair access to studio time and that all recording sessions run smoothly.

How to Book

To reserve studio time, visit the ASU LTH webpage (link). Navigate to Multimedia > Studio, then select your campus location (Tempe, Poly, or self-service). Each studio page provides a request form, a calendar of availability, and an interactive map for navigation. Always check the calendar before booking to avoid conflicts.

Reservation Limits

Reservations are limited to four sessions at a time. Requests take up to two business days to process, as staff manually review each booking to ensure availability and coverage. Studio sessions may range from 30 minutes to three hours. For most recordings, we recommend scheduling two hours to allow time for multiple takes.

Confirmation Process

After approval, you will receive a calendar invitation listing your session details, assigned Learning Designer, studio operator, and the Studio Manager. If you need to modify or cancel your session, always Reply All to the invite. Do not simply click “Can’t attend,” as this will not notify everyone involved.

Late/No-Show Policy

If you are more than 15 minutes late, staff may reach out to confirm your attendance. After 30 minutes, your session will be considered a no-show and canceled. If you anticipate being late, communicate with the Studio Manager or your Learning Designer as soon as possible.
