What I Do
I work in collaboration with a team of educational researchers and consultants to advance instructional effectiveness through a comprehensive, evidence-based approach. My work includes providing professional development for faculty, offering individualized instructional consultation, conducting classroom observations, supporting the scholarship of teaching and learning, and fostering meaningful community
engagement.
What I Did
Prior to joining the Learning and Teaching Hub, I served as Education Director for the NSF-funded Center for Bio-mediated and Bio-inspired Geotechnics (CBBG) within the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) at Arizona State University. I continue to hold an appointment in SSEBE as a Research Associate Professor. My work included leading curriculum development initiatives that supported
pedagogical innovation, including team-based and problem-based learning, eLearning, and the implementation of instructional methods aligned with accreditation and institutional goals.
What I Studied
I have a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and postgraduate training in Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University, an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, and a B.A. in Education from the University of Redlands in California.
What I Like
I enjoy spending time with my family, trail running, listening to music, knitting, traveling,
reading, volunteering, and following the NBA.
