Teaching-Focused Faculty in Engineering Discussion – New ASEE initiative
Teaching-Focused Faculty (TFF) play a vital role in engineering education, yet opportunities for connection, professional development, and advocacy are often limited or fragmented. As part of a new initiative, the American Society for Engineering Eduction Faculty Development Division (ASEE FDD) is exploring ways to better support this community and invites teaching-focused engineering faculty to join a Zoom conversation to discuss what meaningful support could look like.
Topics may include:
- Building a national community of TFF in engineering
- Workshops, sessions, or networking opportunities at ASEE conferences
- Professional development, recognition, and advocacy needs unique to TFF
The goal of this conversation is to listen, learn, and co-create support structures that reflect the real needs and priorities of teaching-focused faculty across institutions.
