The Cohort of Recently Hired Educators (CORE) is a Community of Practice designed to offer actionable instructional ideas specific to teaching and learning in engineering courses.
This Spring semester is about the implementation of active learning while positively impacting attendance, student retention and autonomy, building relationships, promoting, and developing soft skills.
In this third meeting of the Spring Semester, we will reflect on the use of various active learning strategies and celebrate successes and commiserate together on any challenges! We will also dive into the world of cooperative learning strategies that promote active learning within groups of students. Come prepared to find a cooperative learning strategy you can implement for the end of the semester that will best serve your students and their learning.
