Meet Chris Puddy
Chris Puddy
INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY ANALYST.
What I Do
Being a staff member at ASU is a privilege and I am proud to contribute to our great State and University every day. In my current role, I am responsible for the audio/visual and technical aspects of our programs, supporting students, faculty and staff.
The majority of my efforts are focused on the development and delivery of content designed with the online learner in mind. I enjoy seeing the efforts of me and my colleagues reflected in the positive learning experiences reported by our students and faculty.
What I Did
I have extensive desktop, networking, and general IT support experience – first via working for a local internet service provider in the early 00’s and then for a company who provided support for 4 large online colleges. In my role prior to working for ASU I helped manage the central help desk call center supporting the students, faculty, and staff of these colleges. My focus is on the technology side of higher education, regardless of modality.
What I Studied
I graduated from Brophy College Preparatory and then went on to graduate from Arizona State University from the school of liberal arts and sciences with a degree in psychology.
What I Like
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my baby girl, going on hikes with my wife and our dog, watching F1 racing, skateboarding around Tempe, and supporting the ASU Sun Devils, Phoenix Rising FC, and Liverpool FC.
Favorite FSE Value
Favorite FSE Value
Build a foundation for all to be successful! True student success can only be achieved when the underlying institution is committed to their own success – in my role with the FSE Learning and Teaching Hub I help my colleagues and our faculty concentrate on what makes our programs and courses so valuable to students: the knowledge our faculty bring to our programs and the high quality content the LT Hub creates to deliver this knowledge.
