 ersal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework for creating flexible\, i
 nclusive learning environments by providing multiple ways for students t
 o engage\, access information\, and demonstrate their knowledge. This ta
 lk introduces UDL as a tool for creating more inclusive and effective en
 gineering classrooms. Attendees will explore the core principles of UDL\
 , explore practical examples of how UDL strategies can be applied to eng
 ineering teaching\, and reflect on ways in which they can implement UDL 
 into their classes. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDr. Rachel Figard is an Assistant Pr
 ofessor in Mechanical Engineering and the Engineering Education Transfor
 mations Institute within the University of Georgia’s College of Engine
 ering. Her research explores accessibility and user experience\, sociote
 chnical design and learning\, student experience\, engineering culture\,
  and broadening participation in engineering.\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nb
 sp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nMore about Fulton Schools of En
