 ion\, share how to ignite an Entrepreneurial Mindset in your engineeri
 ng students! Open to all engineering faculty\, this virtual Zoom session
  will reveal powerful strategies to spark curiosity\, connect classroom 
 content to real-world needs\, and prepare students for future challenges

 op (attend only one)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nDr. Douglas Melton i
 s an electrical engineer\, an engineering educator and researcher\, and 
 an advocate for the intentional development of an entrepreneurial mindse
 t and character in engineering graduates because they are critical contr
 ibutors to the U.S. workforce and economy. Their contributions profoundl
 y impact society and everyday life.\n\nSince 2012\, Dr. Melton has serve
 d as Program Director for the Kern Family Foundation. In that role\, he 
 helped grow a network of multiple university partners\, known as KEEN\, 
 who share the mission of developing entrepreneurially minded engineers. 
 Through joint work with the faculty at partner universities\, Dr. Melton
  has established the Engineering Unleashed Faculty Development program\,
  coupling the teaching\, research\, and service aims of faculty members 
 to this shared mission. The program serves hundreds of faculty members a
 cross the country annually.\n\nBefore work at the Kern Family Foundation
 \, Dr. Melton was a faculty member for seventeen years within the Depart
 ment of Electrical &amp\; Computer Engineering at Kettering University. 
 He has served as the Director of Product Research &amp\; Development for
  Digisonix Incorporated. The team at Digisonix developed a range of pate
 nted active sound and vibration control technology used today in aircraf
 t\, vehicles\, and building infrastructure.
