DESCRIPTION:Location: Zoom\n\nThe Cohort of Recently Hired Educators (CO
 RE) is a Community of Practice designed to offer actionable instructiona
 l ideas specific to teaching and learning in engineering courses. \n\nT
 his Spring semester is about the implementation of active learning while
  positively impacting attendance\, student retention and autonomy\, buil
 ding relationships\, promoting\, and developing soft skills.\n\nThis ses
 sion we will look at how you are setting the stage for active learning i
 n your course (thinking about how to use the classroom space\, how to gr
 oup students\, providing students rational and benefits of using active 
 learning).  We will look at a faculty case study and provide recommenda
 tions for active learning then move into choosing specific active learni
 ng strategies that will work for your course and content and create a pl
